BIO
Kelsey Green is a first-year Ph.D. student in History at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Her master’s thesis examined Asian American immigration to the Midwest during the Exclusion Era and the lived experiences of Chinese immigrants outside ethnic enclaves such as Chinatowns. Her broader research interests explore how Asian immigrants and their descendants navigated race, identity, community, and belonging in the United States.
Prior to joining the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Kelsey worked as a public historian at the Indiana State Library and Historical Bureau, where she contributed to the state’s historical marker program. She earned her B.A. and M.A. in History from the University of Indianapolis.
