BIO

Julian Gillilan is a doctoral student interested in turn-of-the-century Central European history. His research interests include 19th and 20th Central European history and Austrian Studies. Julian is advised by Prof. Gerald Steinacher and his current research focuses on Austrian Pan-Germanism and cultural despair in fin-de-siècle Austria. Julian is a graduate of Bowling Green State University, where he received his bachelor's degree and master's degrees in History and German. He has also completed graduate-level work at the University of Salzburg in Salzburg, Austria and the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities.
