BIO

Dani Baresel-Pavlik was born in Hawaii but grew up in Denver, CO. She started with her love of history and education back when she got her associates degree from a Denver area community college. Due to financial circumstances, Dani switched her major to Management of Information Systems, which she achieved at CU Denver’s School of Business. Next she obtained an executive M.B.A. from Regis University. Most recently (2024), Dani went back to her love of history by attaining an M.A. from University of Nebraska at Kearney. 

Dani has been in the IT/IS field for almost 30 years as an individual contributer and senior leader in various business genres: Online Education, Health/Workers Compensation Insurance, Fundraising, Universities, Oil & Gas, Payment Processing and Software Start-ups. Dani first started moving into academia in 2021 as an adjunct instructor at CU Denver’s School of Business (one of her alma maters), teaching technology, project management, and cyber security. She is also an adjunct professor at the Community College of Aurora and Colorado Community Colleges Online for various technology courses.

Personally, Dani has 3 grown children and a husband of over 25 years. When not working, teaching, or studying she loves travelling, camping, photography, learning languages, reading historical fiction, music, biking, and walking her dog.
