In addition to Assistantships and Fellowships that make up the bulk of our student's funding packages, the department offers annual awards to support research.

Generous donors have made it possible for the department to make annual awards that support research and conference expenses. The Graduate Committee distributes these awards on the basis of information gathered in the Annual Progress Report that each student submits annually on April 1 to demonstrate their progress in the program and list their achievements. Recipients are announced in the annual May awards ceremony.
