Dr. Gerald Steinacher, Associate Professor of History and Hymen Rosenberg Professor of Judaic Studies, appeared in the Wall Street Journal on December 26, 2015 for his review of Mark Riebling's "Church of Spies."
Dr. Steinacher's current project examines the lessons learned by the Geneva-based International Committee of the Red Cross from its handling of the Holocaust, and the ensuing policy changes regarding genocide and victims of war.
Dr. Steinacher’s most recent book, Nazis on the Run: How Hitler's Henchmen Fled Justice, (Oxford University Press, 2011) was awarded the 2011 National Jewish Book Award in the Holocaust category.
