On Thursday, February 19, Visiting Professor and Frank A. Belousek Distinguished Scholar, Dr. Vladimir Polach gave a public lecture at University of Nebraska-Omaha. Co-sponsored by UNO and UNL's Departments of Histtory, "From Democracy to Mediaocracy: Power and the Press in 21st Century Czech Republic," recalled the shifting media landscape in the Czech Republic and its relationship to a free and open democracy.
