The Milwaukee County Historical Society has announced that they have awarded the Gambrinus Prize for last year's best book-length contribution to Milwaukee historiography to Patrick Jones for his book, The Selma of the North:  Civil Rights Insurgency in Milwaukee (Harvard University Press, 2009).  Dr. Jones will accept the award on April 26 at the society's Annual Recognition Banquet in Milwaukee.
