I am a third year PhD. student in American history with a focus on the nineteenth-century and gender history. I graduated with a M.A. from Loyola University in Chicago where I focused my research on the differences between conceptions of ideal manhood in the Northern and Southern United States. I have continued this research at UNL and sharpened my focus on conceptions of honor in the nineteenth-century United States.
