Joined the Department:
September 2006
I was born in Northeast Nebraska and I've lived here all my life. I love movies and all sorts of things historical. My historical hobbies are the US Civil War and World War II. I probably got interested in history because of the wars. My interest at UNL is the American West.
Education:
I got my Masters at the University of Nebraska-Kearney 2005. I did my thesis on the success or failure of the Homestead Act in Antelope County Nebraska(which is were I was born.
I'm presently seeking my doctorate at UNL. I'm looking into US policies concern Indian land tenure.
I've always been curious about the Who, What, Whys, and Hows of something. Such as Why is this town like it is today? What made it that way? Who was involved in the process? And how was that process done? This goes with a general sense of curiosity which some might consider to be nosiness
